Description
A futuristic main battletank I've been working on using concepts from current and future designs I've seen.
The tank mounts 4 seperate tracks with pivit point in the center, the tank can bend side to side to turn tighter and up and down to curve and flex with hills and slops.
It's powered by a fusion reactor, each track is powered by an electric motor.
All 3 crewmen are in the front hall, the driver, gunner and commander. The rear hull mounts the autoloader.
The tank mounts a 120mm coilgun that fires 60mm high velocity slugs for anti-vehicle or 100mm payload rounds loaded with conventional or nuclear payloads. It's most often the ladder in combat. The co-ax LMG is the same mounted in the PA-3A with 6000 rounds. On top of the main turret is a smaller turreted anti-aircraft/missile laser. The rear hull mounts two sponsons with 10 or 20x surface to surface or surface to air missiles.
A dropship can carry a single tank well an IO transport can carry 8.

The laser turret is for anti-aircraft/missile use, the missile were meant for surface to surface use anyway, but it isn't really needed as the cannon can do that and more. The nuclear weapons it carries are tactical nukes, used more for it's extreme heat in any atmosphere. The explosion might not be what you've seen in old videos from the 50's, but it'll be more focused and hot.
